Audi RS5

According to Volkswagen Group’s chief designer Walter de’Silva, the Audi RS5 is the most beautiful car he has ever designed: “It’s elegant and powerful, yet free of aggression and arrogance. The latest RS model from Audi, the RS5 coupe, which joins the TTRS and RS6. It uses a new 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 with 444bhp and 317lb ft of torque. The motor, which revs to 8500rpm, is nearly 30bhp more powerful than the RS4’s engine and yet produces just 252g/km of CO2 against the old car's 324g/km. A C63 puts out 319g/km.

Audi’s first use of a self-locking crown-gear center differential, and it helps cut nearly seven pounds out of the drivetrain. The new center diff will make its way into other Quattro models as well, and it can direct up to 85 percent of the power to the rear wheels or up to 70 percent to the fronts as grip dictates. Under normal driving, the power distribution is split 40 percent to the front and 60 percent to the rear.

For the first time in an all-wheel-drive car, Audi has added a software-based, wheel-selective pseudo-torque-vectoring system. Based on inputs from the vehicle’s ESP system, it slightly applies the brakes to the inner front wheel during cornering to effectively curb understeer, a behavior long associated with Audis that was mitigated a bit by the more rearward position of the engine in the company’s latest longitudinal modular platform.

Torque vectoring at the rear is handled mechanically by Audi’s optional sport differential, a heavy piece of hardware that nevertheless makes the car feel more light on its feet, shifting power from left to right in search of more grip and balance.

Porsche 911 Carrera

The 911 Carrera debuted an all-new rear-mounted engine, with more power and better gas mileage, and replaced its Tiptronic S transmission with an entirely new double-clutch gearbox. Reviewers were impressed, and still are -- as the 911 carries into the 2010 model year unchanged.

The 911 Carrera base-trim, 4, and Targa 4 are equipped with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 345-horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 288 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. The more powerful 911 Carrera S, 4S and Targa 4S feature a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that makes 385-horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. which features seven-gears, manual gearshift, and an automatic mode. It’s available in three body styles: a traditional coupe, soft-top convertible or with a glass-roofed targa top.

According to Porsche, the fastest 911 Carrera trims are the S and 4S Coupes -- which, when equipped with PDK, can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. The trims with the highest top speed are the 911 Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet. They max out at 188 mph when mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Styled by Italian car design firm Pininfarina, the 2010 Ferrari Fiorano 599 GTB is a high-performance, exotic two-passenger gran turismo. It’s Ferrari’s most powerful V12 and one of themightiest performers in the exotic sports car class. The Ferrari sweeps through broader emotional extremes - soft and sweet now, hard and fast when provoked. The amazing thing is how the 599GTB is able to embrace every situation with an astute blend of confidence and competence.

The 2010 Ferrari Fiorano 599 GTB’s name is a combination of its engineering and styling heritage. While the 599 stands for its engine’s displacement of 5,999 cc, GTB is short for “Gran Turismo Berlinetta” or "grand touring hardtop” in Italianhe. The 2010 Ferrari Fiorano 599 GTB will blow your mind with its 612-horsepower V12 engine and ability to blast from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Though its standard handling components provide for impressive motoring, its optional HGTE package takes its road performance to a whole new level.

The interior design, 599 GTB Fiorano’s cabin is characterized by fine craftsmanship, high-quality materials and supportive seating for two. It’s highly customizable as well.Ferrari’s personalization program allows drivers to choose among a wide array of materials and features -- including a new Enzo Ferrari-inspired carbon-fiber steering wheel with LED rev display, a carbon-fiber trim kit and a satellite navigation system.

Ferrari California

Ferrari California ranks 4 out of 7 Exotic sport car in 2010.This ranking is based on our analysis of 16 published reviews and test drives of the Ferrari California, and our analysis of reliability and safety data. Ferrari California is an exotic wonder that handles just as marvelously on the track as it does on long-distance pleasure cruises. Competitors may offer more power and sportier capabilities.

Ferrari California is praised for its powerful V8 engine and smooth-shifting seven-speed transmission. The California is equipped with a 4.3-liter V8 engine that produces 453 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 358 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. It’s mated to an F1 dual clutch seven-gear transmission with both manual and automatic modes. Ferrari reports that the California has a top speed of 193 mph and can blast from 0 to 62 mph in less than four seconds.

California is elegant, comfortable interior. While its roomy cargo hold adds some practicality to this sporty grand tourer, its useless back seats don't. However, the rear seats can be replaced with an extra storage shelf. The California features a 2+ seating arrangement. In other words, its backseat is more for show than use. Compared to other exotic sport car, this isn’t surprising  as no competitor adequately seats more than two front passengers.

In addition to elegant trim and superior craftsmanship, the California's cabin also comes equipped with top-grade features -- including an easy-to-use infotainment system that features a 6.5-inch touch-screen and navigation system. With regards to cargo room, Ferrari’s California leads the class of exotic sport car. The trunk holds 12.7 cubic feet with the top up and 9.2 cubic feet with the top down. What's more, drivers can choose to replace the California's useless backseat with a storage bench. However, drivers who choose to keep the rear seat can increase trunk space -- the seat backs fold down.

Audi R8 GT

Audi R8 GT, in the back there is a re-worked 5.2 litre V10 making 412KW and 540Nm, good enough to punch the GT to 100Km/h in 3.6 second and on to a maximum of 320Km/h. shaving weight has obviously been a bit of a mission for the good people of Quattro Gmbh and it has involved the extensive use of both straight carbon fibre and carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP).

The list goes something like this the rear hatch is now CFRp and saves 6.6Kg from up high in the R8 GT's centre of gravity, though weirdly it retain the gas struts for holding it open, which surely would shaved a few more grams. The rear bumper and sideblades are also CFRP,contributing a saving of 6.7Kg and the fixed, full carbon rear wing  the standard R8 has a speed dependant pop ip aerofoil with electric motors drops another 1.2 The bonnet is made of aluminium and much skinnier than before. When you slam it because you might just leave a hand print in the metal and saves 2.6Kg.

The wheels are forged and lightweight, the windscren is now thinner and the rear window are made of lightweight polycarbonate, while the distance unfriendly bucket seats are manually operated and much lighter. The carbon ceramic braking system has been lightly mass decontented there is a lighter battery and most of the car's sound deadening has been removed.all which contributes to a further20-ish kilos of lard reduction.Legend has it the removal of the carpetry alone resulted in a saving  some 8Kg,though one suspect that someone is using unusually heavy-duty mats in the standard R8 if that really is the case .possibly something woven from woolly mercury.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

Consider it to be Supercar Rehab. Whatever it is Lambo want you to stop obsessing about the kilowatts and recalibrate your synapses around something else: The power to weight ratio. The sesto Elemento is a good place to start this process. It power to weight ratio is approximately 419Kw per tonne. That is not a car, that is a ballistic missile.Sesto Elemento consist almost entirely of carbon fiber and weight just 999Kg. Given that it runs the Gallardo superleggera's power train direct injection 5.2 liter V10 ,four wheel drive and all and that's seriously impressive figure.

Sesto Elemento by the way mean sixth element which is according to the periodic table, happen to the carbon. This car also a proper runner and Lambo claim that it will get to 100km/h in 2.5 second. That is same as a veyron, which has getting on for twice as much power but also weight twice as much.

The company claims that it is currently the only car maker in the world to have nailed every aspect of the process in 3D design, simulation and validation ,through to production and testing. The sesto Elemento 's structure is all about reduction and integration .Its monocoque uses forged composition technology, which Lambo claims is a first in the automotive sector. This process take material with short carbon fibers ad hot-presses them in a mould. The front sub frame and crash boxes are connected to this single-piece passenger cell, and they are carbon fibre too. The front and rear body shell component are also manufactured in a single piece, which the engineers call cofango, a frankly unnecessary contraction of the Italian for bonnet(cofano) and wing (parafango).Quick release fasteners mean that these can be swiftly removed.

This wishbones are carbon fibre. Of the major structural areas ,only the rear sub-frame where the engine is mounted and the suspension points on the rear axle are made of aluminium. The prop shaft is made of CFRP, and does away with a central joint, and the wheel rims are carbon.Nestling behind them are carbon ceramic brake discs. The exhaust tailpipes are made of something called pyrosic, which is an advanced glass ceramic composite with high heat resistance.Even the doors have a minimalist structure and feature just two pieces bonded together to create a single unit.Titanium-alloy screw fastening help pare weight back elsewhere. In other words, the sesto Elemento is not so much a car as an entire ideology.

here come the super car lamborghini Sesto Elemento...

Pagani Zonda R

Pagani Zonda R need around $2 million to buy the car and it is made from a blend of carbon and titanium which they are calling carbotanium.Anyway, couple the carbotanium skeleton body and interior with bits of titanium this and magnesium that, and suspension made from the same aluminium airbus uses to make its planes and end up with a car that weigh 1070Kg.

To make it move, Pagani has ditched the 7.3 litre AMG V12 we have seen in various Zondas to date, and instead gone with a smaller but more powerful 6.0 liter AMG racing unit. This has a dry sump, which is a good thing because that prevent oil surge when the car experience high g turns.

Zonda would able from 0-100km/h in three second and 349Km/h flat out.The cabin is airy and unlike many hypercar does not limit your view of the road ahead to a letterbox. It is a mad cacophony of periscope vents and carbon binnacles and leathery blueness in there with flashes of sheer oddness, and adjust the seathing position by twiddling a strange silver knob between your legs,a features that was surely conceived by the Pagani engineers as a visual gag.

Citroen Survolt

It is no surprise that an all-electric race car can deliver a shock. But the jolt delivered by the Survolt Citroen's one off $2.4m racing concept. This car requires total mental recalibration. Even pulling away from standstill is odd. There's no engine noise to reassure you that the Survolt Citroen is even running. Beside that, take off the left foot of the brake will ease the accelerator and hope for the best.

Only one forward gear here, so no possibility of fluffing changes. It is quick, the Survolt Citroen will get from 0-100Km/h in well under five second. Even at at full race pace,it will last for about 190Km and it will haul to 200Km/h without drama, which is exactly the problem.Because the power is delivered in a constant slug.

It is the lack of noise that is most disorientating. A bit of whine from the transmission, a touch of wind noise, but you are essentially racing deaf in the survolt. With no revs or gear changes for reference, it suddenly becomes very easy to miss your braking point. Most of objections to racing are either environmental or noise related. The Survolt is the perfect antidote.Silence has never been sweeter.

it is a silence racing car.

Audi Quattro concept car

THIRTY Years ago, The Quattro was born. It recaliberated what a car would do over real-world roads. It also proved that all wheel traction was absolutely the thing to have in rallying.Audi has made a whole lot of Quattros. So this is an anniversary worth celebrating. The Quattro's designer was Wolfgang Egger.By the way, its lighweight panels, aluminium and carbon over the steel platform, and stripped cabin help cut weight to just 1300Kg.That is the same as the ur-Quattro, and in place of the RS5's V8 and seven-speed DSG, it has much lighter assembly of a turbo five cylinder and manual box as the original did.It is the engine from the TT RS, but it is turned lengthwise and hopped up to twice the ur-Quattro 's power, at 300kw for sub-four second to 100km/h.

A modern take on the old but the asymmetric bonnet vents, the black strip between the tail-lamp, the ear spoiler, and even then instrument binnacle with digi-dials.The Audi four ring logo is impressed into the C-post.The C post shape is retro, but Egger say it is very significant for future Audis. And the headlights are all-LED, and the light shines from a pair of horizontal blades in each lamp unit.when the car is turned on, these blade rotate to vertical, like the car is opening its eyes...

Inside, the lightweight theme continues.Dash door skin and seats all have pared-back visual mass. They are simple, to focus the driver's attention on the high binnacle and the array of switches it carries agin, a nod back 30 years, but a piece of relevant ergonomic simplification in these days when most dashes have as many button as Jenson's family tree.
